About

At Ophelia May Photography, I believe that every moment tells a story waiting to be captured. My passion lies in documenting emotion, energy, and personality through photography, from the atmosphere of live concerts to the confidence and creativity found within portrait sessions and events. Through my lens, I aim to create striking, authentic imagery that feels both memorable and meaningful.

Specialising in concert photography, portraiture, and events, I love working with people to create images that reflect genuine moments and real emotion. Whether it’s the excitement of a live performance, the elegance of a studio shoot, or the joy of a birthday or dance event, my goal is always to preserve memories in a creative and timeless way.

My Journey in Photography

My photography journey began in 2018 with a simple passion for capturing moments and experimenting creatively with a camera. Creativity has always been a big part of my life, with much of my family being involved in creative fields, but my love for photography started long before I ever picked up a professional camera. Growing up, my mum would often take us on walks with her camera, and from a young age I became fascinated by the way photographs could capture memories, emotion, and atmosphere in a single moment. That early inspiration is what first gave me an eye for photography and storytelling.

Since then, photography has grown from a hobby into a professional freelance career that continues to evolve every year. Based in Bournemouth, I am currently studying Commercial Photography at Arts University Bournemouth, where I continue to develop both my technical skills and creative style.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience photographing live music events, portrait sessions, studio work, dance performances, and celebrations, allowing me to work confidently in both fast-paced environments and more personal creative settings. Every shoot has helped shape my approach as a photographer, and I’m passionate about continuing to grow, collaborate, and create work that people can truly connect with.
